From our humble beginning in Don Teel's garage, we have focused on one thing and one thing only... PUMPS! Don Teel cut his teeth in the early days of Grainger where Mr. Grainger, Don Teel's mentor, appointed him the head of Grainger's pump division. Over 20 years later, in 1976, Don retired to Florida and discovered there was a desperate need for a real marine pump specialist. True, there were plenty of places that sold pumps along with life jackets, anchors and fish hooks, however, there was not a single place that knew every aspect of the pumps found on boats... a place that carried every type of pump in stock and the service parts to keep them going... a place where you could have your pump repaired, tested and back to you in short order... a place where you could obtain assistance in selecting the right pump for your application.

So Don started Depco to fill this void. In 1977 he hired me and we moved out of his garage and into our first building. That same year we expanded into the industrial marketplace with a unique twist. Our goal was to serve other pump distributors. We did this through offering services that were becoming difficult to obtain from downsizing and/or merging pump manufacturers, such as same day shipping, prompt application assistance and custom assemblies. In 1985 we published our first catalog, Don retired and I purchased the company. In 1999, after several expansions to obtain more space, we moved into our current state of the art 25,000 square foot facility. We currently maintain a 6 million dollar inventory of pumps and service parts, 15 inside pump specialists ready to take your call and identify what you need, and a complete repair and fabrication shop with 8 full time employees ready to quickly repair or custom assemble a pump for you. All of us at Depco are ready to serve you. When you call Depco a human will answer the phone (no automated answering machine here) and you will be directed to a specialist to help you. If all lines are busy for more than two minutes you may find one of my managers or me answering the phone to serve you. Whether you want a gasket or a complete pump our service will be informed, prompt and courteous. That's the way Don would have wanted it and that's the way I make sure you receive it!
